Natasha

A singer, songwriter, pianist, and guitarist, Natasha initially broke into the NY recording scene by working as assistant/engineer on albums by such blues/rock luminaries as Jay Leonhart, Lou Reed and Pinetop Perkins. While gaining studio expertise, she worked New York's vast club scene opening for blues legends A.C. Reed, JB Hutto, Johnny Copeland and Roscoe Gordon.

Natasha’s introduction to music was at the age of 6 when she began playing classical piano. She developed a passion for R&B and Blues and worked in a soul band at 13. Her true love came to light when at age 20 she picked up a guitar for the first time.

Natasha's first big break came when she caught the attention of the American legend that is John Hammond Sr. John discovered a number of the greatest musical artists of our generation including Billy Holiday, Bob Dylan, Janis Joplin and Bruce Springsteen. Unfortunately for the music world, John passed away before he could record his latest discovery, Natasha.

We at Chesky Records feel honored to have been able to pick up where John Hammond left off and record Natasha's debut album.
